The beginning of a new year brings many possibilities. Crown Vision Center wants to make sure you enter the new year with clear, crisp vision. Whether that be better eyesight (we have all the designer eyewear you could ever want) or a specific vision for your future, we want to help in any way we can.

With that being said, we have conducted a list of New Year’s resolutions that we at Crown Vision Center hope to accomplish, and maybe you will find some inspiration, too!

Wear sunglasses more often

You probably hear this alot, but sunglasses will help keep your eyes safe! Snow reflects up to 80% of ultraviolet rays, and water reflects up to 100%, so no matter what season it is sunnies are important.

Volunteer our time and skills

Volunteering is one of our favorite past times at Crown Vision Center. Specifically, volunteering for Kids Vision For Life. Looking for a great organization to volunteer at? Look no further! KVFL serves students who live within 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level and have limited access to basic vision care.

Eat more foods for our eyes

Foods that are filled with beta carotene, like carrots, help reduce the risk of macular degeneration. Veggies like broccoli and bell peppers are full of needed Vitamin C. Turkey is high in zinc and fights against cataracts. Salmon is filled with omega-3 fatty acids that keep the blood vessels in your eyes happy. So whenever it is time for dinner, grab one of these foods to keep your eyes and your stomach happy and healthy.

Schedule annual eye exam

Annual eye exams are more than necessary to keep eyes healthy. They allow doctors to find and take care of vision and health problems before you may even know they are there.
